NREIS

Isn't going out of business, I just spoke to vendor management. She said they are still going strong.

I just received a packet from them to join since they found me through one of my listings online and they didn't have me in their database. That would be really tacky if they solicited new people just so they could hire them one time and then close their doors without paying them. Perhaps they are really legit. I certainly hope so, because I did the signing for them.

I have done numerous closings for them. I have never had a problem with them paying me, this is one of the better companies to work for and they always meet my fee.

They pay $90.00 with email docs across the us, is that your fee?

Considering the times, we should never say never. NREIS' biggest clients, that I've seen, have been Countrywide and Citibank, both of which are slowing down or shut down (C/W Full Spectrum). I think they are laying off people because I tried to contact two persons regarding an unpaid invoice and their extensions no longer work. Just keep in mind EFS in Pittsburgh. They were doing business as usual up to the day they closed.

With all due respect

Ilene, do you really think that vendor management, even if they knew, would broadcast to vendors, the life line of their cash generating capability, that they are going under. Who would work for them???????? These guys are not good, they used to pay a decent wage, now what is it 90 with E-docs. They will cut you of at the ankles and leave you holding the bag, and never lose a nights sleep over it. I would be working hard to my cash out of the system. JMHO

I did one for them in August - met my $xxx.xx fee with no problem and paid in less than 30 days...

Exception to the rule

is not something one can deposit on a regular basis. I did one over 5 years for 250.00 for overnight docs and they also paid in 30 days. The pay and the terms is moot if the doors close. I wouldn't bank on what vendor management says to protect myself, you be your own judge. Just my two cents:-o

Re: Exception to the rule

I'm with you on this one: most rank and file do not know what upper mgmt are thinking, doing.

Worked for a company that held a meeting, asking for feedback on how to improve bottom line, said what was being implemented in near future, b lah, blah, blah...
2 days later we were sold to anothr company and the only one who really knew was the guy who flew out from CA to conduct this meeting of ideas. Not a clue, not a whiff of anything wrong...

Another thing to consider: when one files for bankruptcy protection, one must have money, so cash flow incoming is important till the last poss.moment. Bankruptcy in an upfront fees process.

AOL Money and Fiance has their top two clients

at the top of their list as stocks to lose 50% of value. Countrywide and Citbank. Not a good sign, but I am sure everything will be just fine:-o

The SO is just another cog in the wheel. Do you think that upper mgmt wants her/jhim to know? No, they want that person working till the last poss. day, not w/divided attention and looking for another job.

I personally don't know anything, little about everything, but I am personally feeling for each and every one of us in these uncertain times. Use CAUTION.

EFS left people on the HUD unpaid - heck, pkgs. were returned to SA's as no one there to accept them in PA. and they (SA's) were charged for the shipping. Again - keep your info out of return addresses too,.

Re: NREIS, has anyone not been paid by this company?

So I guess the answer is that we all need to stop doing any closings for anyone because anyone at any given moment in time can go out of business. Therefore, we don't need this website, because the overall concensus is that you won't get paid by anyone. However, I have a couple of questions to ask: Just exactly who is Deborah Lewellen of TN to NREIS and how is she is privy to this company's business decisions since she is in TN and NREIS is in PA? Have they stiffed her for a closing recently? Have they stiffed anyone she knows for a closing recently?

I have been doing work for this company for 6 years, they have paid me within 2 weeks for every closing I have ever done for them. I for one am not going to dump this company based on what someone learned from someone, who learned from someone, who learned from someone else that this company is planning to stiff everyone. How about some conclusive proof that NREIS has become a bad risk instead of just blindly accepting the rumor of a first time poster.

Here are her words: "I've been a NSA for yrs. this is my first time posting here though. Been hearing thru the grapevine that NRE is going out. Spoke with someone, who spoke with someone else that NRE is closing at the end of the month."

As kids we used to call this game "telephone," and we all know that what was said at the beginning was a far cry from the ending statement.

Re: NREIS, has anyone not been paid by this company?

That was kind of my point...maybe I said it wrong and I really didn't mean to offend anyone...they paid me much more than $90 with no argument and paid me timely...they were easy to work for. So my personal experience tells me if they call again and the terms are acceptable I'll gladly accept the assignment. Yes I DO read, I do take these posts seriously and I do wonder if they, like many others, are in a bind in these times, but everyone is...do we not work for anyone any more?? I had a 9-5 job where I was asked to skip my paycheck on several occasions due to cash flow issues - it happens everywhere. JMHO

Re: NREIS, has anyone not been paid by this company?

You didn't say anything wrong. There are plenty of companies out there that have ripped off people on a regular basis and they deserve to be trashed and forced out of business. But to blast a company because of an unsubstantiated rumor, that hasn't ripped anyone off is totally ridiculous. Until they do something wrong I will accept their work. BTW, I just accepted a closing from them for Jan 4, 08. Word from a settlement officer and a conformation for a closing, I think for right now I'll accept their word that they aren't going out of business.

No idea of the status of this company since I haven't worked with them in a while.

However, note that even IF a company were about to go out of business, it doesn't mean they are not creditworthy. It may mean that the company has decided to wind down in a orderly manner while still solvent rather than depending on future business that may or may not materialize for cash to pay its liabilities. In my book, any company that is still paying within 2 weeks is probably intending to make good on its liabilities.

I knew a few people that are no longer there, so what does that mean? They are scaling down like everyone else. I've worked for them about 8 years and have never had a problem.

We have been working for NREIS about 6 months and have done many, many closings. We have been paid ASAP, and the folks at NREIS are knowledgeable and polite. We will continue to take all the jobs NREIS cares to offer us.
