OT: webmail/Outlook/server issue..
I have Outlook set up to pull email from two different webmail servers. Today, I got a message asking for the network password for one of them. I talked to someone who said the password occasionally gets corrupted and you have to re-type it. Problem is, I can't remember the password (don't even remember choosing one!), and I my internet browser is having trouble accessing the server's website (no phone service for customer support).
Would anyone have any idea where the password might be stored on my system? I was told it would be an individual file as opposed to a system file, so a system restore wouldn't do any good. I'm not all that technologically consversant, just know enough to be frustrated when I can't figure it out...

That's normal
I have the same problem sometimes. It's b/c the server is temporarily down for update or is being fixed due to problem problem. There's nothing you can do but wait, and it will be back to normal in no time.

Andy...
I already tried to typing in several different passwords, none of which worked, so did I mess it up for sure? When the server comes back on-line, will it automatically reset the password?
I hate computers!

Messing up the password in Outlook will only mess it up in Outlook, not on the mail server. So if you can figure out what it was, you can reset it in Outlook.
If you can't figure it out, contact the company that provides the mail server.

Got an email from the webmail service provider...
Andy was right, the server itself was the problem. Now everything is back to normal, and emails are coming through like they should.
Thanks to both of you!
