Signed and Sealed... Not Much Info here
Is anyone else having trouble getting paid from them? I found one complaint and one good review... but not much else. I have been getting no answer from them until I emailed the title company and then a screaming message from Signed and Sealed. I don't mind the screaming message as long as it is accompanied by a check.

They contacted me today. I haven't found much info on them either. Guess I'll take my chances!

I have been doing business with Signed and Seal for over 3 years and never had a problem, Payment in always on tme and accurate. The staff at Signed and Seal is very professional and honest, getting someone on the phone is never a problem, if you leave a message Christina will always call back. If anyone out there get a call from Signed and Seal to do a closing this will be a great opportunity for you as a closer, because Signed as Seal is really one of me best clients. GETTING PAID NOT A PROBLEM

Glad you are getting paid by Signed and Sealed BUT...
I have had a less than pleasant experience. I sent the invoice on time and have been ignored (until I contacted the title company). Previous invoices were paid within 30 days but this one is late and has been ignored until I contacted title company. They tried to claim that the 30 days payment schedule is 30 business days and that it is not even late yet. I hope you don't encounter this but I have spoken to three other notaries that have also been ignored. Best of luck to you with them.

The reason that there is not much info or negitive feedback about our company is because there isnt any. Signed and Sealed has been in business for over 8 years. If there were any problems in 8 years surly they would be posted by now. Janet failed to follow with post closing procedures. Our confirmation clearly indicates that after closing the closer is to fax page two of our confirmation with the closers fee, status and tracking information. Janet did not do this. Once she did fax the information, her check was sent in the next payment cycle. I believe her invoice was paid within 35 days. She also closed at least 7 other loans for us in the past 6 months. All of those invoices were paid within 17 days max. I don't appreciate Janet for Slandering Signed and Sealed for getting her invoice paid 5 days after the 30 day period. Just ask her about the payment status with our company in the past...I think you would be suprised at her responce. Regards. Christina Lohmann

Not slander
Regarding this closing: I followed procedures as I always do. I can prove it, and have to this person at Signed and Sealed. I faxed the proof to Signed and Sealed as well as to the title company today (proof that I did send the invoice as required). In fact, I have NOT been paid for the signing in question. Yes, I did receive payment in the past in a very timely manner for every signing. But, I do like to be paid for ALL my signings, not just most of them...I am not a liar. The payment has not been made for this signing. Slander is only if what is being said is untrue.

Re: Signed and Sealed... Christina...
Surely you can understand why notaries have begun to get nervous when behavior outside of the norm occurs with their clients.
If they don't get nervous when payments are uncharacteristically late (even if only five days)well...in the climate of the current times .... it wouldn't be uhh...prudent.

Exactly. Thank you BrendaTX and
if you check Signed & Sealed, using the ampersand instead of using the word "and" you will see another notary who has the same concerns about the non-response issue to past due invoices. Harbingers of things to come? I know with EFS and others the slow payments were the beginning of the end. I am not hard to get along with but I do like to be paid for working. Maybe that's just me...
