Those toner refills

I’ve just completed my first ever toner cartridge reload from Sylvia’s recommended Internet supplier. My assessment, on a scale of 1-10:

Toner on tee shirt: 5
Toner on hands 7
Toner on bathroom counter 6
Toner, lots of it, in bathroom
sink 4
Black toner ring around inside of
toilet bowl 3
Toner on kitchen sponge 7
Toner transferred to kitchen sink,
dishes from sponge 4
Toner on paper waiting to be fed
into printer 4
Burned little finger from hole tool 2
Saving $240 on cartridges 10

Feeling of accomplishment Priceless

Did anybody else see CSI: Miami tonight? One of the killers had been refilling toner cartridges and that provided a clue!

That's hilarious Hugh! I just bought my first toner refill kit. After reading your post, I really can't wait to dig into this project! Smile

Tip: After reading about toner and breathing problems, I

do mine outside, w/a mask, over a lined garbage can. Would rather have the mess out there than inside. I do all my cartridges at once, good for couple of months that way. There will be a wind, simply because, so pay attention to direction and position yourself accordingly.

Just wanted to share that I had an AWFUL experience when the black tape that came with the toner refill kit didn't STICK properly! I had toner everywhere! Took FOREVER to get it all cleaned out of my printer! All the paper I had in it was ruined as well. Toner all over the carpet & walls too. I was so grateful that I was eventually able to get it all cleaned out & didn't have to buy a new printer! Since then, I use duct tape instead, but still am paranoid that it will happen again! And thanks again to PAW & Sylvia who were so helpful to me when it happened! You are both THE BEST & I adore you!!
