"Find a Notary" search feature
I am the only notary in my zip code "Yahoo" but when you do a search for a notary in my zipcode, seven notaries show up before me. I type in my neighbors address and it says I am 6 miles from him. I type in my address and it says I am 6 miles away. This has not been the case up until now. I have contacted Notary Rotary and got a response regarding GEO coding which I understand. But why has this changed after me being the first one when you put in my zip code "32233" I advise you to check your placement every so often. Now I know why my phone has not rung for new companies, only my regulars are calling

Try removing the ZIP+4 part of your zip code.
Just a guess.

I have done that, before when I added it there were other notaries in Atlantic Beach and when I did that I moved to the top. I have taken it out and put it back in several times and it makes no difference. I will try removing it again. It has stopped what little work I was getting.

It figures it from the central area of that zip code, so it seems you are 6 miles from the center of the zip code you are in. JMO

I am the only Premier Notary Rotary Member in my town, the other people listed are up to 20 miles away Atlantic Beach is NOT 6 miles in size.

Re: Try removing the ZIP+4 part of your zip code.
There are only 5 notaries within 20 miles of you Phillip and NO Premier Members because you do not need to have a Premier Membership in your case. I am in a very small town outside Jacksonville, FL where there are 100's on notaries. But when my next door neighbor needs a signing, notaries 20 miles away are called first. I show up as being farther away then the Jacksonville Notaries. I give up, I have gotten a night job on line working 4 to 10:30pm from home doing customer service. Notary Rotary was my best source for work, now it is gone.

Sorry to hear that...
I know that I show up 2.6 miles from the center of my zip, as I am 2.5 from the "square" and that is the center of town!!!
I hope the night job goes well.... we all might have to find some other work to do!! Luckly I have a "day" job, as I am an Independent Insurance Agent as well.

I just got a call from the other site I belong to. This site is the only one I am getting calls from and I will be renewing next year.

I'm going out right now and let my neighbors know I'm a Notary.

I live 1.5 miles from my own address. I also use to be at the top now I am farther down the line. I contacted Notary Rotary and they gave me some excuse that the companies signed up use another search feature. But it makes no sense why we wouldn't all use the same. And if I put in my exact address it says 1.5 miles. So my neighbors would also get someone else farther away that me and I could live right next door. I have not been getting any new customers from this site. I am very frustrated.
