how do you handle I/we, my/our

In the acknowledgements and jurats when they use I/we, my/our etc. do you cross out or leave as is.
I normally cross out so it reads I for a single signer, etc., but I have noted other notaries do not.
Just a question thanks

ok, cuz in some states it is not an option how to treat it... so you get to choose!

I always cross out to leave no doubt as to who appeared before me, 1, 2 or however many. I make sure it is he if a male, she if a female and they or them if more than one.
The more precise we make our documents, the less chance for fraud.
