The orange button will lead you where you want to go. Sign up with all the SS's you can find with a website. Google, Google, and Google some more.

Brian....
There are 1250 mobile notaries listed in just your zip code, so you're up against considerable competition, many of whom offer significant experience. Realistically, your path to finding work in such a saturated area is not going to be easy, quick, or plentiful. All you can do is sign up with the companies here on the Signing Central section, and as many others as you can find on the web. Anything remotely steady will likely be a long time coming, if at all. Definitely don't quit your day job.
Read the profiles of the others in your area to get an idea of how to market yourself.

Click on the orange search button. Search for message #33325.
Read that message and every message in that thread.

He was given this same advice a month ago
But that would involve actual effort. He was told to fix his profile, but that would also involve effort.

Re: He was given this same advice a month ago
Brian The folks on this forum are helpful! You have been directed to which thread on this board to read to get the best results.
Incidentally when I became a notary for the first time I did general notarizations I was a notary well before I heard of loan signings. And when I heard about loan signings I found there was only one other person doing them in my county. (the days before the NNA signing agents). I bought a training guide on loan signings and studied it until I felt comfortable that I could handle loan signings successfully. I took the NASA test to get certified and listed myself in their database and waited to get called. If I had a specific question I would ask on the message forum.
Your original question in this thread was asking how you can get work, you wanted to be pointed in the right direction. You were directed to message 33325 and advised to read every message in that thread.
Jan advised you to sign up with all the SS you could find, and to use Google. Roger advised you to sign up with the companies in Signing Central, not to quit your day job and to read profiles of others in your area (I believe Roger says there are 1250 listed in your zip code) and get an idea of how to market yourself.
Of course this is not considered helpful to you as you seem to want us to do all the legwork for you to get you started!
You say we can't stand to help anyone else???? It appears we have been giving you the same advice on a monthly basis. You have to do some work yourself you know. If you can't figure it out from reading the thread indicated then you are not going to make it in this business (especially with the competition in your area)

Re: He was given this same advice a month ago...Brian
Please tell me how it is you "know that all of you need help when you 1st be came a notary for the first time"? I can tell you that was not the case with many on this board as many veterans in this business started with a background in the title, mortgage/lending and or other related fields. You see, many had a clue as to what this business was about before jumping in headfirst with blinders on.
You seem vary eager, but not very smart. I don't mean to be harsh, but it is obvious that you did not do your due diligence and now you are expecting others to do your homework for you. Didn't your parents & teachers ever tell you that to learn you must do the work?
Brian, according to your business plan, how long do you expect it to take before you start seing a profit from your livescan service? I'm just curious.

The difference between help and a handout...
Brian, you don't seem to get that several folks HAVE tried to help you (msg 33325 is excellent advice). You have obviously done little research into what it takes to undertake this endeavor, and you seem shocked that work is not magically coming to you, even though there are 1250 other competitors in your area.
People on this board HAVE done their own research and worked to build up their client lists over a long period of time; do you really think they're just going to hand them over to you for the asking?? You've been referred to Signing Central - a good place to start.
Several people have also tried to help by telling you to revise your profile, which is still poorly written, and does nothing to induce any company to contact you.
Simply put, there's nothing we can do that will overcome what you will not do, and that is a recipe for failure in this business.

I am always amazed with those that want us to do everything for them. Next they will want us to set up their appointments and collect their money for them.

You may be able to sell the book on ebay, if it has not been used. As for the stamp, you could put a hammer to it...IMO.

*I can tell from what I have read most of you here are one way and don't like to be of any help to thoughs who are just begining.*
Brian, if you have concluded this then it is senseless to continue to ask people here for help. That's like going to a men's store and asking for women's clothes.
* I know that all of you need help when you 1st be came a notary for the first time* You are incorrect. Most of us who are reading this had a clue about the business before we started it.
*,,,and now that you guys have been doing it for awhile you can't stand to help any one else................* You are incorrect again. Many of us help others.
Here's my advice...start reading this board like has been suggested. Stop being a victim and waiting on other people to help you get what you want.

Re: need a little help..............I'm curious,
what prompted you to become a notary if you have no idea of what to do? I just find it very odd that someone would spend time, effort and money to obtain tools when they have no idea of how to use the new resources.

Perhaps you should also check you profile, run your
spell checker, this is a business that prides itself on its accuracy. Many companies will pass you over when they realize that you are just ready to start. I'm not a good example because my work really doesn't emphasize notary work but there are plenty of others profiles to look at. Look at your profile as your advertising to your employers. You should emphasize your strong points such as financial background, real estate background etc. Think like an employer: what would you look for in a contractor for this type of work. Finally a premium membership would at least put you ahead of some of your competition as well as allowing you to use some of the premium services.

this is not his first request or even the 4th... Me thinks
he thinks if he asks again and again he will be handed the info and not have to work to get it

Yes, you do need a little help
Your entire business plan seems to consist of periodically posting on a notary forum to ask people to tell you what to do. Honestly, you don't have what it takes to be an entrepreneur.
