I've read on here a few times where notaries don't want to pay for advertising and are only using the"free" websites. Even this website offers "premier" membership which puts your name in the top spots.
Alot of companies offer a yearly fee, and that is usually less than what you can make from just ONE signing. Having your name out there means more calls. Yea, I know, we're all getting emails satying "Sign up on our website!" Some of these websites are very well done and offer us the opprotunity to post a rather nice profile. (Like NotRot).
Being in business is NOT cheap, and you have to advertise!
