Background checks and signing services
I have received several emails from SS requiring me to get a background check through NNA or through them for only $23.00. These are the companies that pay $50 and under for a closing. So I wrote back asking what there new fee will be since they will now be have a signing agent who conforms to the new act and is certified through the NNA. The response I got was comical, each one stated that there would be no increase in fees and that if I didn’t have the background check they wouldn’t call me. If I don’t give them $23 to do the background check they will stop calling me with $40 closings. That is the best $23 I never spent.
