I do not like to bring up payent issues with specific companies;however, I want to warn you about the practices of this company. If they agree to a price that you quote with them, MAKE SURE YOU GET IT IN WRITING on the confirmation. They have a tendancy to only pay their minimum (which is not mine). They have under paid me at least five times by at least $25 each. I changed my policy around six months ago so I never print the documents unless I have it in writing . Just remember, the scheduler will tell you anything so you will sign their loan. Refuse to do it if the fee is not written.

I noticed the same thing too.

I just chalked it up as oversights on their part, but after the 3rd or 4th time, I had to change my attitude towards them.

Re: I noticed the same thing too.

Their response when i contacted them was "we never pay more that XXX, so why would we agree to your price." Like I said, now if it's not on the confirmation, it doesn't happen.

Re: I noticed the same thing too.

Nope...it's their way to avoid putting the amount in writing. If you get it in writing then after the signing they might even try calling you to get you to reduce your fee.

Pathetic. If you don't want to pay the notary what you agree to then call another one.

This warning holds true for any SA in my opinion.
Last year I implemented a policy where I don not accept ANY confirmation without the agreed upon fee stated in writing. I also no longer accept fax confirmations, email only that way I have a contact name and address.

Bottom line: Beware.

Re: BancServe...No problem here

They cut check every 2 weeks. Better yet, I just received a check today that include a signing done on 2/15. Furthermore, they account for 1/4 of my January income.

As far as fee goes, what I charge is already in their system so it doesn't matter to me if the fee is listed on the confirmation or not. Signing services come in two flavor; private and corporate. It's your bottom line policy/standard versus their.

You are very fortunate, Andy. Not everyone is so lucky.

I also just got paid today for a job I did on Thurs, Feb 15. Meanwhile I'm still waiting to be paid for a job I did on December 19 for Atlantic Signing.

One of the few that still owe me BIG

They shorted two of my last three signings (by half) and refused to admit that I had ever done the third signing. Didn't matter how many times I faxed their 'confirmation' to them.
They are on my "no no" list forever.
