Don't be a pain in the a$$
I've had to neglect my blog for a while. Very busy. I had a little time to write to it today. This was today's post. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't be a pain in the a$$.
Look who's talking. When I first started out as a notary signing agent, there were a few occasions when I was a bigger pain than hemorhoids. Late docs. Last minute docs. Wrong address for the borrower. Cancellations and reschedules. And other things. Maybe it was the perfectionist in me, but those were the kinds of things that would set me off.
But I've been doing this long enough to realize that this is not a perfect business. Don't expect things to be perfect, and it gets easier to deal with a lot of these things.
I was reminded of all of this today when I got a call from the title company letting me know that there was a last minute change to one of the documents. I retrieved it and printed it out. Another change was made. I had to reprint it. "No problem", I told them.
And I meant it. Just an end of month reminder to everyone to go with the flow, because s#!t happens. And when it does, don't be a pain in the a$$.
Good luck. -------------------------------------------------------------

You got that right! I used to STRESS when things didn't go well at EOM to the point my family members didn't want to be around me. I too, have learned to go with the flow or you'll end up being a total basket case. And isn't it nice when a stressed tc person tells you, "Gee.. I wish more notaries had your attitude"? I just laugh it off and move onto the next. Complaining to the tc/ss certainly doesn't help matters... their hands are as tied as ours are.
