Global Notary and Nations Direct?

Last week I was unable to do a signing for a TC that called because they wanted a last minute deal. Already had plans.

Anyhow, they turned it over to a signing service. A few minutes later I get a call from a number which a backward search revealed nothing. The guy on my voice mail was Eric Smith, I think...and he left a message which when searched backwards was Global Notary. His message said he was from Nations Direct.

Are they connected?

They were know by Global Notary back in 1997 when I worked at ditech.com/GMAC. They are one in the same. But I have not heard of them using Global Notary for many years.

Re: Global Notary and Nations Direct? clarification

Searching backwards on the number he gave me is what I meant to say!

Re: Global Notary and Nations Direct? clarification

Nations Direct has developed a bad reputation offering $40 to $50 for a signing.
My guess is their name is so bad that they are reverting to their old name Global Notary

Same Family

or at least it was a number of years ago. Global Notary owned by Bill Stone, Nations Direct owned by Jeff Stone (son). Both cut out of the same piece of cloth. You are squeezing to get $50 out of them (really would like you to go to the next county AT RUSH HOUR for $40!

Yes, Father and Son. I have had pretty good luck with the Father, even add $15.00 to a $150.00 job when he found out it was one that likes to send 150-200 docs (reminded me of Countrywide). Wwwwwork for him whenever he has something in my area. There are two sons (I have ony worked with one). He quoted me fee of $150.00 and then sent a check for $100.00 and tried t say that was what I agreed to. Won't work with him again. Haven't worked for thr=e other one and dont remember his name or the name of his company.
