HUD

Has anyone done a signing where escrow hasn't prepared a hud to include with the rest of the docs? Would you wait for the HUD or go ahead with the signing? Thanks!

Lori, you need to ask escrow if they want you to proceed without the HUD.
There have been a few occasions where a final HUD was not included with
the docs, or during the signing it was not signed (as directed by the LO) when
figures were wrong and a new one must be prepared.
The loan can be signed without a HUD, and one sent to the brw's for execution
during the rescission period, but that must not be decided by you.
Ask the hiring party for direction.
If you don't want to look silly or inexperienced, just call them and say you did not
receive a HUD SS with the escrow docs, how long before it is ready?

Thanks for the info. I've been sitting around waiting around for it. Just wasn't sure! Have a great weekend everyone!

I had a signing last night and had to go w/0 the HUD. T/C said something was wrong with their system and they would overnight it to the borrowers.....they were not terribly pleased but I reminded them of their RTC if they do not get the HUD or if it was incorrect. They did sign. I also left the HUD Addendum signifying that they rec'd a copy with them and told them they could sign and return it with the HUD. Hope this helps

Was this a HELOC? If so, there wouldn't necessarily be one. n/m
