I went to their place of business, wife is not there she is at home, she is in a different county than he!! Callede LO told me to pick one of the counties and put that on notarizations..I would appreciate help with this, or anyone else come across this? Title company in Fl. Thank you in advance

What county were you in at the time of notarization?

The 'county' is where your feet are at the moment. Attach a loose ack. for wife in different county. Sure hope you got paid enough for 2 locations for 1 signing. Don't listen to LOs.

Re: Help! - You need to help yourself. Not being mean...

just realistic. Read your notary rules. Clearly you have not attached loose acks. How can you notarize two people in two places at once?

A learned notary would notarize one, complete the certificate for one. Then go to the next signer and do the same. (They did both appear before you, right? You did one and then went to the other?)

This question is very basic. Two signers, two places, two County of's.

I put a lot of thought into this before answering it. I wondered, "how can I say this nicely so it will not sound like I am just being a witch?" Other than giving you an answer to "fix" an unfixable problem of not knowing basic mobile notary 101 info, it's impossible.

Lots of these kinds of questions are rolling in these days. This might sound a little mean, and maybe it is but this kind of lack of prep on the notary's part is ridiculous. Get your rule book out and learn what they heck you need to know about notarizing.
