Hello from MN/WI,

Tedd, They will call you when they need you. Otherwise, you won't hear a word.

It takes time; just be polite, well mannered and persistent
Most agencies will already have "favorite" notaries that they have used before and already know are reliable and knowledgable. As some of those notaries slow down or leave the business or are unable to take a particular assignment, you will begin to pick up work - at first as a backup notary when their favorite notaries are busy. As the title company and signing agency schedulers begin to become familiar with your friendly "can do" willingness to help them out and your dependable work, you'll begin to work your way up the list to become one of the first notaries they call instead of the last. Send out "reminder" faxes or letters to 100 title companies and signing agencies a couple of times a year reminding them of your qualifications and that you are "still here and still available". Pay for a listing on 3 or 4 of the best notary search sites, starting with Notary Rotary, and also register on every other notary search site you can find that offers a free listing. Be sure you add a "profile" writeup, and revise it as your knowledge, experience and coverage areas expand. A $100 to $150 investment in paid listings will put your info in the hands of the title companies and signing agencies who are most likely to call you.

You completed the information here on NR, correct?
You will need to actually contact the companies themselves to sign up with them directly. The "create agency relationship" thing here is just for your own records. Use the list here to contact those companies directly to sumbit your information for their databases.
HTH,
Melissa
