LandAmerica
Anyone else get an email today from them regarding Chase? Also what does "One Stop" pay their paper carriers.

Yes. Split pkgs., mucho faxbacks, instructions, calls & wait for approval to drop. To answer your 2nd question--I haven't a clue. Haven't done one for them in years but pay was TC average then. Soooo why am I getting this sinking feeling???

They have always paid what I have asked for, and usually with in two weeks.

I have done several SBA-commercial closings for LandAmerica out of Virginia. Curteous people and Reliable payments.

Is it just me or did anyone else find it odd that, while they stated in the email that it was necessary to know which Chase client the assignment is for in order to follow the right set of directions, they didn't provide any identifying or distinguishing information on either one. The differences are very slight and not highlighted or set apart in any way. [If ANY company that hires signing agents made just a little more of an effort to put themselves in the shoes of the people they expect to follow their extensive instructions, they'd probably get much better compliance.] jmho

When the confirmation is sent, it tells you which LAndAm it goes back to.

A week ago, LandAm called, and had a signing which I turned down, as they have cut their fees, no longer TC range- was told the max they now pay for e-docs etc. is $100.
With all the time involved with fax backs- split package for returning docs, "AFTER" you have waited 24 hours- one time 48 hours for me, while they get the fax backs approved by whomever- and the calls and back and forth- is so stressfull- and then one gal- lost some of the required fax-backs- and requested them again- of course I had my copy of what was sent them, and the number of sheets- round and round- Not Worth it to Me!
Told them when, they get a signing- not requiring fax backs and split packages etc,- call and we can go from there-
Oh- and when they get a Country Wide Package- all the problems are multiplied again- as Countrywide calls- and calls- even while your at the signing table to check the progress.
To each his own- but I'll not be sending back the Chase Application papers they are requesting.
FWIW!

I kinda figured that. But then anyone who has signed the two sets of instructions and returned them has committed to follow them. My point is how does a person know which set of instructions apply, if there is no distinguishing information provided on them? (I imagine if I took the time to compare all the docs in the package with the long list of "to do's", I'd be able to figure it out, but it seems like it would have been much easier to just tell us which instructions go with which client. (Or maybe that's a secret, since they didn't really specify anywhere I found, which Chase companies were those in question.)
I've never gone after their business and have only done a few recently where they've called me and offered an acceptable fee. (Maybe they needed a Spanish speaker - can't recall.) If I follow up with the current request, it would be for a potential similar situation. Like so many others, I'm not interested in doing edoc signings for $100 WITHOUT all the split pkgs and fax-backs! For the right fee, I'd be willing to jump through a few hoops... ;>
