NE Snow storm
How are you guys making out with all this snow. My Jeep was plowed in this morning. Poor hubby had to go to work. Thank god my office closed. We have about 12" now and it's still snowing. Supposed to get 13 - 18". Stay warm everyone.

My road is barely passable with 4 wheel drive. About 15" on the ground, town has not plowed the road yet. I just spent an hour digging out a neighbor's minivan that tried the road. After being dug out he gave up and went back to the main road instead of trying to continue to his home.

We're on Main St. so the town plows. However, hubby just went to save one if our friends who is stuck - in his plow truck! We're supposed to get 2 feet plus. It's gonna be a long night. Are you getting any wind? The wind is not too bad here right now but the forecast is calling for high winds. Stay warm!

Re: He he he he he
We HAVE had temps and wind that bad. One thing you don't get there, that we are having right now, is a "Noreaster" and it is bad. Between the wind blowing and the sleet and snow and the white out conditions it makes me want to just sit at the computer and hope the electricity stays on. I don't want to look outside because there isn't much to see but a lot of snow swirling. T.V. isn't much good, all they are talking about is the snow and the blizzard conditions. But we will survive. We've done it before and we will continue. Denver (weeks ago) had it really bad and lately so did parts of New York, so compared to them we are getting a break. Stay warm and safe fellow New Englanders.

Re: NE Snow storm: Southeastern CT was lucky.
Half of the storm went South of us, half North.
The roads were very icy, especially the secondary roads. This morning the Interstates are fine, but there's frozen slush and severe ice elsewhere.
Cars are frozen shut. Some people have used their remote car starters to warm up the interiors, which eventually thaws the doors and locks.

well it did get very blustery here later in the day into the evening hours - blowing snow everywhere. it sure is cold here today. I'm back to work and gonna trek out tonight to do a closing that was supposed to happen Tuesday nite. I actually had the broker calling me the other night pleading me to go even though it was snowing and he said his month end was the 15th. I think the borrower's talked him out of it LOL....later he called me to stay home and do it tonite when the rate-lock expires.
