Never say, 'never'
I often read on this site about bad experiences that signing agents have with various companies. Many times the signing agent says, that's the last time they'll work for that company.
I wanted to share with everyone a brief article I wrote on my blog last week that has to do with a vow that perhaps all of us have made at one time or another: --------------------------------------------------------------
Just about every notary signing agent has said that they'll never again work for a particular company. It might be a payment issue, or an unreasonable request. Whatever the reason, the experience was bad enough that they refuse to accept any more work from that company.
It goes the other way too. There are companies who say they'll never again call a particular signing agent.
But a lot of things can change over time. Companies change and improve their methods. Signing agents learn from their mistakes and become better. The landscape is constantly changing.
Just something to consider the next time you say 'never'. Good luck.
-------------------------------------------------------
I'll be honest with you. There's perhaps only one company that I'll never work for. And I thank my lucky socks that I haven't had to deal with them.

Your are right, however the key is to proceed with caution. There is a saying, "Kick me once shame on you. Kick me twice shame on me!"

All true, except
Companies of this industry WILL NOT change OR improve their methods in treating notaries.

That's surely true, Ndwa. Believe it or not, at one time (12 years ago) SOX was a good company. The list of 'used to be good' companies grows longer each month.

Re: All true, except
That's true about SOX. I had to report them to the BBB before they would pay me. Once I got that check, I ran!
Some other companies paid regularly, like Quick Docs and Docs on the Run. I took all their work without worrying. One day they did not pay, I called up, and they were disconnect. I was left eating a months worth of work a piece.
