OT- My good deed for the month. LONG

Here's the background: I drive an old Jeep Wrangler. I keep about 60 feet of heavy tow rope and a 2.5 ton winch in the back of my Jeep at all times. I like camping/fishing in very remote areas, and I tend to get myself stuck in snow, mud or very deep "puddles" from time to time. It's nice to be able to get myself out of those situations, so carrying all that gear has paid off.

Here's the story: I am driving home this afternoon, I turn onto my street to find that the road is blocked by a very LARGE car. An early 1970's Chevy Impala to be exact. The car is completely sideways in the middle of the street. I asked the driver if he was ok. Apparently, his "regular" car broke down, so he is driving the old "battle tank" today. This probably wasn't the best idea since there is 2 inches of solid ice on my street. He spun out and now wasn't able to get the car to budge. I hooked up the tow ropes, dropped the jeep into low gear and pulled the "battle tank" to the safety of clean pavement. The guy asked me if I owed him anything and I said no. He then produced a business card and told me to call him in the spring, he'll come out and power-wash my house for free. Sweeeeeeeeeet!

Wow! I thought he was going to hand you a signing agent business card! In CA we have a notary in every corner.

Good for you! I've received all kinds of "gifts" at closings.. but never a FREE power wash!
As the saying goes, "the best gift is that which is given".
