Penalities for Dishonest notary practices

The next time you are asked to do an illegal notary act, check your state notification site.
This is a link to the Minnesota Dept. of Commerce website that lists penaltis notaries receive for doing dis-honest practicies. I'm sure other states do the same.

http://www.state.mn.us/mn/externalDocs/Commerce/Notary_Public_Actions_061005125723_EnfActNO.htm

If it doesn't open up directly, just highlight, copy and paste it into your navigation bar.

My 2 favorites: one backdating and one NSA who conducted the closing, then went to see another notary for sigs/stamps.

I'm wondering about the guy who was convicted of "moral turpitude" - what is that, exactly??

This is a link I found that should answer that question. It didn't say which crime it was on the website.
