Signing service nightmare

I am beginning to understand more and more of the headache SS go through as far as protecting their bread & butter clients. Some have non-compete clause in contract and some stated they visit clients to snoop for SA contact info (business card). I personally don't preach or practice neither.

I'm writing this post with no other intentions, but rather sharing my view of what I've already experienced on the "dark" side. I want everyone to be aware of the worse marketing technique there is. I called it hitchhiking. Instead of tagging a business card with the returned docs please do not include brochure or letter head size memo in the package.

Why, you might ask? I have been surprised with a few inside the check envelopes. To my curiosity, I've been told it's a distraction to the EO's train of thought (work flow) and could pose a sloppy image if one ever slipped through the stack to the lender. I'd say there is a 50/50 chance risk of shooting yourself in the foot for doing so. It only cost .39 cents to do in a professional manner.

Including (adding) info pages in docs

Hmmm. Often when there's a First and Second I'll put a colored legal-size sheet printed with the equivalent of
"The First preceeds this sheet; the Second follows it.
Ernest LastName
Certified Notary Signing Agent
MyCellPhoneNumber
MyEmailAddress"

In case there's an error with the address, borrower's name, etc., I'll print a "Please note that ...." colored sheet with my name, etc.

I *always* use colored paper for the sheets with notes.

Any opinions? As always, thanks in advance!

Re: Including (adding) info pages in docs

I too will add a letterhead form to a package if it is very important for the title and/or lender to see. It is on the very top of the package. Are you saying this is NOT good Andy? There is no intent if Im working for a Signing Service, as a matter of fact I usually send it to them also via email, so they are aware of what I sent with the package.
