Split package for free
Just had NREIS try to get me to do a closing with edocs and split package for $90. The split package requirement was to send some docs to NREIS, then MAKE COPIES of those docs and send them with the rest of the docs in a separate package to the lender.
The scheduler just kept trying to get me to agree, and I told her that this appointment was not on my calendar unless she calls me back with approval for my fee. I explained that it takes a lot of extra time to split the package, make copies, make out two different mailing labels, etc.
Then in big capital letters on the closing instructions, it says if I don't follow the directions there will be a reduction in my fee. So I'm supposed to accept this great 'offer' for $90 and then if I screw up they'll reduce my fee even more???
No thanks.

How big are their packages? When I've done them they were maybe 45 pages. I copied the DOT, TIL and RTC that was it. No big deal.
It's not that much work. I, like you wouldn't have done it for $90 unless it was close.

Not sure how big the package is but they want the HUD, entire Mortgage, all riders, original affidavit of title, any open end affidavits, same name affidavits, estimated tax affidavits, quit claim deed, and borrower disbursement form sent to NREIS, copied, and sent with the rest of the docs to the lender. This is more than a few pages.

Well I heard back from the scheduler and this closing "opportunity" was cancelled. So someone was willing to do edocs and split package for $90. WHO ARE YOU?
