Stewart Lender Services- Payment issues?

Has anyone else done any closings for Stewart Lender Services in Dec. 2006 having problems getting paid? I spoke to a Synthia and she said no notaries have received payments for Dec. closings and they are looking into it?? I am glad I only did 1 for them.

What excuse they give you this time? A couple of months ago when no one got paid it was because the checks got lost in the mail. Probably didnt pay anyone because the big shots had to get their Christmas bonuses.

She couldn't tell me why which I thought sounded like a bunch of ???? This was my first and last closing with them. I will send the past due inoice and let them know my intentions.

Just did one for them last night. I have worked for Stewart Mortgage Information and not had a problem and it looks like they have the same address. I guess we'll see how it goes.

I did a closing for them the other day, and it was a nightmare working with the lender...funny thing is the person from Stewart Lending said she was VERY Difficult to work with...just my luck! Now to find out you are not getting paid scares me....I will be all over them after 30 days until I get paid.

They just called me to confirm the signing took place

I asked him what they payment schedule was and he said they send out checks on the 10th and 20th, mine should go out the 10th, at least that's what he said. He mentioned something about mods taking longer to pay. I'll post if and when I get paid. I'll be all over them in 30 days too.

They told me modifications take longer to pay also. I went ahead and did 1. They didnt mention that it was 90 days to pay for modifications. As for paying on the 10th and the 20th, they do pay on those dates when they do send out checks. Just some months they dont send out any.

The mods I've done for eTitle have been paid in less than 30 days. The last one I did was at the end of November; maybe things have changed since then?

The first time they called me I was told they were connected to NREIS. They're either in the same building or very close according to their address. They go by E-Title as well as Stewart Financial Services or Stewart Lender Services. I've closed a few and they generally pay within 30 days.

I just spoke to someone in the accounting department, which by the way was either having a bad day or just had a bad attitude. She said that the Mods for Decemeber would not be paid until February 10th. This is the first time I have had a problem getting paid from Stewart. NREIS used to pay on time also when they were doing the Mods, but at the end they fell way behind also. Is this a pattern??? Hope not...
