The way I read it, if you successfully upgraded to Vista, but had an application that didn't work under Vista, you could run a virtual XP operating system, and then run the troublesome application in the virtual PC. But if the upgrade to Vista was not successful, all bets are off.

I'll keep my XP untill Microsoft gets all the bugs out of Vista. It should only take a couple a years.

My tech guy tells me "If it is working don't fix it. " My XP is just fine so no need to fix it.

Side note re: printing

My tech guy installed a new upgraded USB card in my computer and my equipment runs faster and better. I didn't know that some of my ports are 1.1 and some are 2.0. Now I have, I think he said 5 or something. I didn't know this. Also I had SIS ports which can be a problem or so he said.

There have been complaints about slow printing so maybe this is another solution.
