To Be or Not to Be..

Received a call last night from a woman who is interested in becoming a closing agent. She is currently an appraiser, and thought it would be better $ to become on if "us" as appraisals are WAY down in her area.
I was pretty straight up at told her if HER workload is down, then so is that of a mobile closing agent.
I directed her to this site and had her look up her zip code to see what her competition would be. 20 premier members within shouting distance.
I felt kind of bad after we hung up, but I certainly wouldn't want someone to jump on this bandwagon thinking they are going to make a small fortune (Thank you NNA) when in reality, the road is long and can be bumpy.
For the caller: If you read this message, I apologize for shooting you down. I was being as honest & frank with you as I could be. Good luck.

It's not what their thinking. It's what the NNA is teaching them. I heard the NNA is telling the newbies that the new thing in town is the big stars in Movies, Football, ect.,are going to be asking notaries to notarize their signatures on all promotional items for sale. BIG, BIG $$$

I can see it now. "Please give me all your STARZ contact info so when they come to my town, I can notary them. Is there a special stamp for baseballs or can I use my NNA football stamp on baseballs? What about basketballs?" Yep.... the next greatest thing. Special membership needed for this, too, no doubt. But you'll also get a special gen-u-wine rhinestone lapel pin.

Yikes! The NNA marketing machine is sounding more and more like snake oil salesmen. Just when I think they can't stoop any lower... (All comments, JMO!)
