XYZ's letter in bill for renewal....

I got a renewal for XYZ membership (which doesn't expire until 4/30/07), regardless... in it was a letter form the Members Relations. An excerpt from that letter is:

"There is only one - and only one - nationally respected full-service organization you can rely on to provide you with everything you need to operate as a well-schooled and equipped professional Notary Public. And there is only one organization trusted by industry and government to certify and professionalize Notaries."

Excuse me?

Personally, I think NotRot is on top of things!!

I think Barbara was just using XYZ as an example as to not name the company....

I am a member of XYZ as well and I think the message is because they were recognized by theh Department of Education for CE coursework for notaries. I also have their certification and background screening and it was easy to go through. The certification included the background fee.

Re: XYZ's letter .. You're missing the point ...

The point is that they are NOT the "only one - nationally respected full-service organization you can rely on to provide you with everything you need to operate as a well-schooled and equipped professional Notary Public." and they are NOT the only "organization trusted by industry and government to certify and professionalize Notaries."

It's the 'only' and the 'trust' words that

makes everyone's blood boil--as they are neither.
