acknowledge

I have a to resign a mortgage that was not properly recorded over two years ago. On the mortgage is an acknowledgement that states:

State of KY, County of ***** blah blah and then it says

Given under_________________ and this 28 day of February, 2007

BY _____________________ D.C.

What goes in the blanks?? I tried the search key but cam up empty.

Thanks in advance for you help

You might ask whether it is an oath or an acknowlegement; that wording is so unusual, it isn't obvious which it is supposed to be.

Re: acknowledge- Gerry, good point...but...

I *assumed* since she said it was an *acknowledgement* she had a reason for stating so.

In my doc prep experience, often the word "acknowledgement" is stated as a matter of good practice. I believed she had derived her statement from substance of this nature.
