A will does not have to be notarized. Actually we notarize signatures not documents. People have their wills witnessed and the witnesses signatures notarized to make them self proving, which makes probate easier. As the witnesses signatures are being notarized the notary cannot be one of the witnesses.
I will only act as a notary on wills that have been drawn up by an attorney.
