ot-Iraq
Today my little girl, who's 8, came home from school in tears. Her friend Bailey lost his Daddy in a bombing in Iraq on Friday. A large portion of the children in her school are from military families. It was a sad, and for a large number of the kids, scary day at school today. Those who believe in a higher being, please say a prayer for Bailey and his Mom tonight, and for all of those serving over in Iraq. TIA.

Bonnie,
They will all be in my prayers, Bailey, his family, your daughter, their schoolmates, and all of our brave soldiers, everywhere.
God, be with our soldiers and keep them safe. Bring them home, soon! Amen

When I saw the title I thought - ohhh.. not another hot discussion on Iraq! But when I read the post.... it's not about Iraq, it is about us - you and me and all our children around the world. And I just sat and started to ponder about all the little ones our "grown up" world is saddening today. Being from a family of soldiers and having seen and heard much, it still makes no sense at all. My weak old heart goes out to little Bailey and his mom and all such victims of nonsense around the world. My prayers are with family and wish all our men and women in uniform come home safe serving their country and see the proud faces of their little ones. Bailey, we owe you a big one for all eternity!

I saw your post,
and I think of a friend I served with who died on 4-3-03 at the Baghdad airport. His daughter was born on 4-24-03 and she'll never know her Father, but as long as there are his buddies around, she will never walk this Earth alone. He was a fine Soldier and a fine American and he'll be missed.

My heart also goes out to Bailey and his family and all of our soldiers and their families. I was one of the lucky Mom's whose son made it home safe. I pray for all who are there or have been there or have not made it home. I thank them for all they are doing or have done for us! SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!
