strange statement from title company

Did a closing, had confirmation etc.

Sent invoice. Got a call saying "there is no place on the hud where your fees is covered why didn't you question that? Do you think we should pay you out of our pocket? This is a cost the borrower shoud have paid for."

My answer - "I'm not your accountant. We have a contract. Where you may have the fee covered on a hud is not for me to decipher"

I do work with a broker where my invoice must be sent to TC in advance so they can prepare the HUD or I won't get pay.
