What is the difference between NNA and ASN?

Ya get what ya pay for....
ok, enough of the jokes....with the NNA you'll get a listing in the Signing Agents section and "perhaps" you'll get some business. The ASN is a professional organization that answers all questions, keeps you educated as far as your Notary rules and regs. Most likely you will NOT get business from ASN but rather because of them. They are dedicated to keeping us abreast of the latest changes in state laws and keeping us on our toes as far as the legalities of our profession. My choice was purely personal but I have seen first hand where the information coming from the ASN is factual and right on point. I trust them, they are there to keep me informed because I am indeed a Notary Public first.

I agree. I love their newsletters and save them in hardcopy in a binder. Very pure information and to the point. Also good response to your questions.

I cancelled my NNA membership a few years ago. I belong to the ASN. A far better organization for the notary

I get many calls from SigningAgent.com. I didn't do the
background check which may or may not effect the volume of calls. I have untill April to decide if I will renew. The amount of business last year did pay for the membership but the few times I called the NNA hotline they we not helpful. NR has been the most informative.

I'd encourage you not to renew with the NNA
on principle alone. An organization that works so hard to screw over its members doesn't deserve any of our business.

I just wish that the people who are still members
still members would take them to task on their policies, business practices, etc. instead of just going along like sheep to slaughter. So dumb. And such arrogant, despicable behavior on the organization's part.

AND if you choose to not renew (please)
TELL them why! (cus yer money grabbin, blood suckin leeches, with no regard for notaries, etc-- you get the picture) They will never change until their wallet is hurting! This is my humble opinion for any lawyers reading....
