I just received this in response to my email to them. Told them I had one done through Land America and LexusNexus.

This from the company who only pays $80 for O/N docs - you'd think the more they require of the signing agent the more they'd pay

Did you send the response you got to Lisa P.? She's been collecting these type
of correspondence.

Have you called the Office of the Great Seal to tell them too?

We have got to get the NNA out of Michigan. I know how the Notary Laws are written
in MI, but, the NNA is sticking their big fat nose in where I don't believe it belongs.

The NNA has an office at 5959 West Saginaw Highway #388, Lansing, MI 48917?

Wonder whom in the legislature they have been courting.......

I did know that they were in Lansing but, I didn't know the address. Thank you.

We have got to get every MI Notary to submit anything (however small it may seem)
regarding this type of issue to the Office of the Great Seal.
If these Companies / Associations get away with this type of issue.... what will be next?

I'm trying to look outside the box with this and, I feel that these types of issues can
and will have devasting consequences.

MICHIGAN NOTARIES PLEASE READ

I called the Office of the Great Seal. I spoke with Yolanda -- she said that she
would like All Michigan Notaries to send any of this type of request / correspondence
regarding the background check / certification to the MI Dept. of State, Office of the Great Seal,
Att: Robin Huston, 7064 Crowner Blvd, Lansing, MI 48915- they will be taking this to the legal department. You can fax them in also -- Fax# 1-517-373-3706

Even if you don't have the request in writing, the Office of the Great
Seal wants to know *the who, what, when and where*.

Who has requested this. What are they requiring (background check or
certification, or both). When they requested. Where.... if you don't have
what they are requiring (by a certain Assn. or Company) then you
can't work for them as a Michigan Notary.
