FedEx laser label
I have long been using UPS supplied printer label, but just found that FedEx also have it too. Got my envelopes last Friday and they delivered the labels on Saturday. No more peeling sticky pouch and printing label off my paper. The label is located in the FedEx Ship Manager. You need to have an account to get it, I think.

Forgive my ignorance
but what exactly are these?
My name and account number will NOT appear on this type of airbill correct?

Re: Forgive my ignorance - Julie
You’ll want to keep using your handwritten airbill so you aren't required to put your account info on it.
However, the facts are that the online Fedex accounts are charged substantial dollars LESS per shipment to users who will use their online technology. In fact, so much that I am surprised companies don’t insist on it. Compare the cost difference: An overnight letter with handwritten airbill = $22.75. Letter with online label generated= $11-$15.00.
I never have had one single problem using my online account as far as getting bills for things I should not have.

Why? I've been doing computer generated labels with FedEx (and UPS) for well over 10 years and never have had a billing problem. Obviously, my account number is in their system and my address appears on the airbills. As long as "Bill Recipient" or "Bill 3rd Party" is selected during bill preparation AND the account number to be billed is entered correctly, there should be no problem. At least for me.

"Why?" is because Julie seems very concerned about it.
If you read my post you know I don't have problems with it either...but we are in the minority.

It's hard to believe it has been that long but my first was in 1996. I remember it well and thought it was the greatest thing since sliced English peas.

help it......"I eat my peas with honey...I've done it all my life.....
I Know It may sound funny
But it keeps them on the knife"

But how does that work when you are billing the shipment to the recipient?

Re: FedEx laser label - John
If you have their account number, it's easy to bill recipient. You check "Bill recipient" online and then you enter their account number. You can also enter third party account numbers.

I too have been using FedEx ship manager for years. I maintain my shipping database/address in my account and just click and am printing labels. I actually print two. One on FedEx label and one on plane paper for my records.
Sometime the online store (everything is free BTW) isn't working but if you call the 1-800 # and select supplies you can get your order processed. Just remember to have to product item # handy.
