Last year I cold-called on financial centers that I knew used notaries. Although they accepted my business card, both told me kindly that they already had notaries that they used and that I probably wouldn't receive any work from them. One month later, I followed-up with phone calls and was told the same thing. This afternoon I received a call from one of the companies and the manager asked me "where had I been". He said his office has been in desperate need of good notaries. He went on to say that on last Friday he had multiple customers who had to be turned away because he couldn't find anyone. I had given up on this company and tonight showed me that I can't afford to do that. Situations change. People are promoted, fired or they resign. What may have been last year, may not apply to to this year. With that said...I'm going to re-solicit other companies that told me "No, thank you."

that every sale begins with a no. You just have to demonstrate to the buyer the benefits of your service to turn that no into a resounding yes!
