Got a call tonight from Loan Signers Inc
They asked if I could do a RESPA signing. I told them they didn't have a good reputation from what I'd read on the boards and that I wasn't willing to take a chance. Anybody making progress with getting paid? Just curious.

people off. Anyone willing to post their companies woes and ask for our patience on this board gets mine. I have recently accepted will continue accept their assignments, knowing it may be awhile before I get paid. Yes, we will see.

Re: I have not written these......
Well I HAVE written these folks off, filed a complaint with the BBB and IF I don't get satisfaction soon I'm going to see what other havoc I can cause. Yep Larry, you're 100% right, Chris came in here crying about bad business practices AND we that he owed cut him a break.....now he's paying you for current work and letting me sit without my pay even though it's nearly 6 months over due. THANK YOU LARRY and all others that are helping this smooth talker but you need to know that he's hung a ton of us out to dry. All you're doing is enabling him to screw someone else but then...that's just my opinion. His last e-mail (tagged number 2) explained he's out of cash. Also repeated his threat that IF you continue to ask for your money....ya won't get it. I'll bet you dollars to do-nuts he gets paid....so continue taking work while the rest of us continue filing complaints.

No Sue, I have not been paid....
perhaps because some will continue to work for him he will be able to pay you and sometime all may get paid. I will give him a chance to regain his financial footing. I always have an accounts receivable and it doesn't hurt me to give this guy a chance. My taking work can only enhance your chances of being paid. If he cannot continue in business you will never be paid.

Larry, do you have any business sense at all?
I'll bet you would help some poor Nigerian prince out of a financial pickle if he asked you nicely enough.
Did you recently have some sort of blunt trauma to the head? You haven't been paid, others haven't been paid, the scam artist has posted on this board about not paying people and threatening not to pay them if they continue to bug him, and you think that's a good company to work for?
I don't know how else to say it other than this is one of the most monumentally stupid things I've seen posted on this board. If you want to do charity work, do it for a worthy cause, not for some loser to stay in business longer so he can continue to rip off your peers. And then you even justify THAT by twisting it into some noble and heroic gesture on your part instead of seeing it for the idiotic reasoning that it is.
Unfreaking believable.

Cali, neither noble or heroic....
am I. I don't remember his exact first post, but do remember it as a seemingly sincere appeal for patience. Seemed like a gutsy post knowing the response he would get here. I think it is true that going bust will not help anyone get paid. If I really thought that I would never get paid I would turn him down as I do SOX and Signature Plus. No I don't think it's a GOOD company, just giving him a break, and if I never get paid, your right, I was a fool.

I could not have said it better myself. Leave the company alone....Hmmm unless your name is Chris Von Nieda under the guise of LARRY and this is a sick and twisted joke of yours. I out nothing past a person of poor character under the guise of an upstanding business person.

In my case he was paid three days after each one of my signings. What he did with my fee money is anybodys guess.

I don't like that threat.
Interesting way to perform theft of service in some states. I heard my boss talking about this just the other day.
Switching back to my opinion now: If they know they don't have the money but continue to hire notaries who they can't pay that's pretty much intent...unless they do pay them and don't pay the others.
I think it's time for some Loan Signer folks to get out there are do a few signings for themselves...oh, and be sure to pay the lion's share to the company and keep only $50 for themselves so they can pay you guys who got stuck with invoices flying around in the breeze since August. For every signing they do themselves, surely they can pay a notary who is waiting on a check for six months.

Re: I have not written these......
I have filed my complaint. Chris acts as if we dont really have a right to act as a collection agency for the money we worked for!!!!!!!!!! How do we know he is trying to make it right and pay people?????? In my case I contacted the lenders and they have long sense paid him. Now they wont do business with him anymore. GOOD! Then he sends this email tagged 2 (like he ever sent 1 out)))) It was laughable! Dont do business with them, plain and simple hes a smooth talking liar who DOESNT want you to say ANYTHING to him about the money he owes you....

Re: I have not written these......
Larry, you've got a heart of gold, but it's hard to spend that. If you can afford to float a loan for Loan Signers, that's really nice of you, but I think they are playing this board to keep afloat. Can't blame 'em. It works.
If notaries don't work for no-paying ss's, they'll be forced out of business and the jobs will go to companies who do pay.
The fittest survive.

O.K. Trinity I'll reply......
So it seems if you guys could facilitate an outcome here that you would prefer that this guy go belly-up and pay nobody rather that recover and pay all. Seems spiteful and not in the best insterest of your fellow notaries.

You have GOT to be kidding me
It is now considered SPITEFUL to choose not to work for somebody who isn't paying for the work performed?
If here were sincere about getting it together and making things right there are plenty of other options he has - bank loan, refi, cash advance on some credit cards, cash out a 401K, sell some stock, etc...
Larry, if you wanna continue to be a bonehead and put good money after bad, be our guest. But don't act like we're the unreasonable ones because we're not stupid enough to fall for this loser's sob story. He got himself into this mess, it's not our responsibility to help bail him out of it by donating work to him.
Do yourself a favor, go take some business classes at your local community college. You obviously need them.

Well, I agree it's up to him....
to save his company and make it right with those he owes. However, I also think that asserting that notaries that do take work from him are somehow contributing to others not being paid, is nonsense. Business is fine and yes I do believe that I will sometime be paid by this guy. No not spiteful not to accept work from him, that's not what I said. Spitful to prefer he lose his business rather than work it out is what I said.

Well I did a job for this LOSER on Aug. 8th and have not been paid yet. That is 5 months past due. What more do you need to know? I am so grateful for the people on this board that have taught me when working for a new to you company only do one job until you receive payment otherwise they would have had me for at least $500 for all the calls I turned down. Larry I just don't think your logic works. Thanks for working so Sue and I will get paid but we are still waiting. b.

Amen Beverly! To Larry....You seem like an extremely nice fella with a big heart and believe it or not it's extremely difficult for me to be negative with you. Each of us makes our own choices as to how to run our business, many times I can't see me doing something that someone else writes about but the important thing is that it works for them. This particular man came in and posted and roped us all in, me included. I was totally prepared to wait for a reasonable amount of time...I WANTED to believe him. I notified his company that I would NOT carry his account into the new year, I'm not a lending institution and 6 months is plenty long enough to get your affairs in order. What's the old saying? Screw me once, shame on you...screw me twice, shame on me. We are to the point that IF I ever receive payment for work that I have spent time, supplies and gas on it will only be because I've filed a complaint against him and his business practices. That, to me, is not a voluntary payment but rather one to try to change the spots on the leopard.

I got lie after lie from them, check in the mail, will pay
soon. I'm tired of the crap. I did 4 signings for them, then I found out that they don't pay. I'm sorry for my fellow notaries that took an assignment from them and will never get paid. Not only are they out that money, but they lost chances at relationships with companies that would pay. I say if they can't pay, and they aren't getting anyone to accept their assignments, great GO OUT OF BUSINESS!!! Anyone believing that if they continue accepting assignments and will catch up, that's sad, they are just assisting this CROOK! He will continue pocketing the profits and stiffing folks. Then while we're here, braving the back roads at night, he'll be spending the money that should have been paid to the notaries in some nice bar in the Virgin Islands or somewhere.
