Hair-trigger cell phones

For those of you who are on Cingular (now AT&T), who don't already know this, and whose cell phones rotate to voice mail in only a couple of rings, I learned something today.

There is no menu item to extend the ringtime from 15 seconds to 30 seconds, which is the maximum available. However, if you call customer service at 6-1-1, CS can change the ringtime to the maximum. I must have lost scores of closings simply because I couldn't locate my cell phone in time. Now I get 4-5 rings to find it.

Don't know if this works for other networks.

Bluetooth technology

I have the ear piece and this has made my notary phone life so much easier. If you can afford the hand-less headset it is truly the way to go.

I put my phone in my pocket or purse and haven't lost a phone call in over a year.

The system will pay for itself very quickly! Also you can speak in a lower voice than a regular phone and it might be a way for a notary to answer calls at his/her day job.

I also use to lose many calls just because I couldn't locate my phone quick enough.

Re: Bluetooth technology--Here . . here!! Gooo Bluetooth!!

I must agree with Joan . . I never lose a call because of my bluetooth, don't have to look for my phone, while driving or just about anytime! I Love it! I have had mine (on my 2nd one) since they came out. Now, I can't live without it. The only drawback is since my hair covers my ears people often think I'm crazy . . talkin to myself! Smile

What kind do you have. I'm on my second one, I should say I've gone back to the first one I had when I got my Verizon phone, Motorola. Haven't been too happy with either. I'm thinking about the ones with the boom mike. Anybody?????

Re: Bluetooth technology--Here . . here!! Gooo Bluetooth!!

I use the Motorola ear piece and its my 2nd one. This one is a much better system than the first one I used last year. It attaches to the phone much easier and I can hear out of it much better.

But I also upgraded my cell phone to a newer version and this could have something to do with the improvements.
