I'm having a hard time...
getting use to this E-7.0. There's no refresh button and most times when I pull it up, there's nothing but the home page. Why is modern tech so difficult? Why do they release this stuff without being perfected? Can you tell I have a b!tch on?

There is a button with green up & down arrow at the top toward the right.

Andy...
Is there a way to get outlook into the toolbar or do I need to open start everytime? Geeze, this is a pain in the butt.

Re: Andy...
Right click-hold and drag outlook from "Start > Program" to your desktop. You can also move the shortcut icon from desktop to the quick launch menu next to "Start"

Re: Adding Outlook
Go to green button "settings", then to options. There is a way to add custom buttons and link to programs. I have not done it and it may be a big pia... but it looks like it can be done. Do you have a teenager? or one in the family or neighborhood? they are born knowing this stuff!

You may decide the options in other replys will be good enough. But if you want to start Outlook somewhere in IE7, do this:
1. In the row of icons in the upper right, called the Command Bar, (including the Home and Print icons) right click; on the menu that appears, look at Lock the Toolbars. This settings prevents tool bars from getting bigger, so if you add new icons, they will go into an overflow area and you have to click on the >> to see them. So, if Lock the Toolbars has a check mark, click to uncheck.
2. Right click again in the same area, then hover over Customize Command Bar; in the sub-menu that appears, click Add or Remove Commands...
3. A menu appears that has the available toolbar buttons on the left, and the buttons that are already on your Command Bar on the right. Click the button that looks like a stamped envelope, with the words "Read Mail", then click the Add button that's between the two columns. The Read Mail button will move from the left to the right column. Click Close.
The Read Mail button is now in the same area as the Home and Print buttons.

I just found the refresh button a few days ago
I don't know why they have to make new stuff so difficult either... Now I seem to have lost my spell check and auto-fill. errrrg, what a pain!

Re: I find I am finally liking it...
Discovered if you hit CTRL-enter you can open up a new page to explore without closing existing page. It will tab off. Also, If I go to my favorites, I have them organized under...say shipping there's Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, etc. Instead of opening one at a time. I can click on the "shipping" and all 3 will open up with tabbed windows. Kinda handy!
When I downloaded the new one, they had a "training" section. It might be helpful. Of course, I have trouble "googling" and couldn't find anything on the subject. Maybe someone else can find a good link.

Re: I'm having a MS time...
Dearest Charm, First make sure you have Outlook set as your mail program...TOOLS-->INTERNET OPTIONS --> PROGRAMS tab --> E-Mail "Microsoft Office Outlook". Now just right click anywhere to the left of the little house(home) on your toolbar. Choose 'Customize Command Bar' from the resulting dropdown....then ... 'ADD or Remove Commands' from the sub-dropdown. Highlight "READ MAIL" in the left window...click ADD ( in the middle of the windows), and then click the 'MOVE UP' a few time to get the 'READ MAIL' to the top five ( because IE7 will only show top five on toolbar...rest accessed from tiny 'more' arrows...
Et voila mon petite choe .... les Read-Mail icon et sur le toolbar.....

Why in the world...
would anyone want to go through the trouble of having to launch IE then Outlook? All my programs (IE, FFox, Word, Excel...etc) are set up to launch with just one click from the desktop task bar on a 19" wide screen.
