I read everything I can lay my eyes on

that has to do with signings. Would anyone suggest taking a real estate class or is that overkill?

No, but if you take the time to read this forum from start to finish? You'll be the best SA in your area.

Time consuming? Yes. Worth it? Like the credit card commercial says.....Priceless.

believe me, I do read the forum and I have a notebook in hand when I do. I think you all are the greatest, but I would like to have something more structured.

Sharon, to date, no one has written a 'structured' book of rules about signings. There are too many variables.

The person who does will make a mint. In the interim...the information here is still...priceless. Start from the beginning and read until your eyes hurt. You'll be a very smart SA.

Sharon, Re: I read everything I can lay my eyes on

If you truly like to read, checkout the various websites on mortgages.
Though not specifically loan signing material, these sites are
very informational and well-related to the loan signing industry.

Such as:

http://www.mortgagenewsdaily.com/index.asp
http://www.mortgagefraudblog.com/
http://realtytimes.com/

Various reading material on loan signings, mortgages and the real estate
industries can also be found on Amazon.com, E-bay, Borders etc. . . .

There are also mortgage classes which you can take at home or on
campus.

In my opinion, it is always good to learn as much as you can.
Makes you more marketable.

If you're relatively new, I think there is plenty that you can focus on more directly related to signings. That should be your priority. For more seasoned vets, I don't think it hurts to expand your knowledge beyond the scope of signings. I'm planning additional training myself.
