Kensington - Non-Payment Issue

We understand that there have been problems with payments in the past and apologize for any inconveniences. In response, we have improved our system so the payments are no longer an issue. Your Notary fee is now put directly on the HUD, payable to you, and a check will be cut when the funds are disbursed. This change will result in our notaries receiving payments approximately 5 days after the closing. We thank you all for your excellent work.

Dear Kensington Title,

That is great news and I commend you for coming onto this board to let the notaries know of your new procedure. I think it is a great idea to put the notary's name on the HUD, which ensures timely payment for services rendered. Hopefully you also have a system in place for prompt payment to the notary when the borrower refuses to sign, or if the loan does not fund for some reason.

In my case, I went to the borrower's home a total of three times. Printed new docs each time, borrower refused to sign the first and second time due to incorrect terms, and the third time he finally signed. Trip and print fees were charged for the first two appointments in addition to the final successful signing fee.

I really felt it was possible to include the notary fees on the HUD, and now a company has verified it. This is great, and as CopperheadVA said, if they can find a reasonable way to pay for the non-closing trips, that would be even more wonderful. Now, let's see if other companies will carry this torch for those of us who get the job done.

Hi Nicole. I noticed you have not filled out any information on your profile. I would suggest you at least state that you are a licensed and bonded Title Producer as required to conduct loan signings legally in Maryland. You are licensed arent you?

Re: Nichole, excuse please.

In re: to Kensington Title out of NY. They may have changed the way they pay since the 1st of the year, but I still have not received payment for a Nov and Dec closing. I have faxed invoice after invoice, e-mailed and called and called. I am getting no where. Is there anyone else having issues with them? I'm ready to file my complaints with bbb and attorney general. I've had it with them. 4 months is long enough, time to do something about it and quit complaining, right. Thanks for letting me vent it out. Appreciate it.
