OT: Attention Jahari....
I apologize in advance to all who read this. It's not that I really want to start my day by fanning the flame, but I was too tired last night to continue our little dance.
I thought Jahari (and perhaps others) might be interested in reading the substance of the issue that has his panties in a wad, in its entirety, rather than a spin-article that was written to incite the Jahari's amongst us all.
"The executive branch shall construe subsection 404(c) of title 39, as enacted by subsection 1010(e) of the act, which provides for opening of an item of a class of mail otherwise sealed against inspection, in a manner consistent, to the maximum extent permissible, with the need to conduct searches in exigent circumstances, such as to protect human life and safety against hazardous materials, and the need for physical searches specifically authorized by law for foreign intelligence collection."
Nothing new. Nothing subversive. No "Big Brother" peeking into our private lives. And in no way, shape or form does it have ANYTHING to do with us as Notaries Public.
Quite a far cry from Jahari's caterwallin', don't 'cha think?

Caterwallin'...That's a good descriptive Lisa.
Sometimes when I read Jahari's post I feel like I'm reading a children's fable called "Chicken Little". The sky is falling, the sky is falling. In reality it's only a NUT hitting you over the head. (over and over and over again).
It must be hard going through life feeling like someone is out to get you all the time. Of course some people think that because it's true.

Bev...
I so know what you mean!!!
I was married (in a previous life) to a conspiracy theorist. Geeze, and they will go down in flames to defend their stance! They call this nonsense 'thinking outside the box'. I callit thinking of anything but reality as a means of escape.

Let me state the obvious, Internet Trolls are like stray dog
If no one feeds them they will move on:-) As long as people continue to feed this turd, he will continue to smell up the board:-(

Many, many years ago I lived for a while in a small farming community in Georgia. At a family get together one little four year old girl saw the peeled baked sweet potatoes on the table and innocently asked "whose turds are those?" I thought everyone would choke.

*Troll = Jahari?* One woman's "Epiphany!!"
All this time I have considered Jahari a person who just wanted to by-gosh-get-his-point-across, albeit in the wrong venue...I figured he was just unable to recognize that his strong OT opinion was being stated in a Notary forum...not in a political discussion forum.
Now, I am seeing Mr. Dog Levelhead stating Jahari is a T-R-O-L-L.
So, I do a quick dance step over to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll and what do I find?
-->In Internet terminology, a troll is a person who enters an established community such as an online discussion forum and intentionally tries to cause disruption, often in the form of posting messages that are inflammatory, insulting, or off-topic, with the intent of provoking a reaction from others.<--
And related terms are: Baiting Kibo Thread breaking Gadfly (social) AOLamer Breaching experiment Devil's advocate Virtual community
Related terms Ostracism Schadenfreude Griefer
Well, I'll be "dogged!" (er, Dogmongered) Well, well, well...I guess the operative word here is *intentionally* and the question begs an answer...is it intentional on Jahari's part? What say you? Jahari does in fact meet all the external criteria...it is that internal part that we are left to guess...or not.
Don't have time right now, but I think Jahari has said he's trying to make people think or something like that so maybe he is just a TROLL.
Thanks, Dog. I am totally enlightened.

Re: *Troll = Jahari?* One woman's "Epiphany!!"
He meets the criteria.
<<<<Jahari has said he's trying to make people think>>>
We do, we think he is crazy, and now we think (or know) he is a troll. Thanks for clearing that up!

Brenda, Internet troll are like Dogs who chase cars
They make a lot of noise and attract a lot of attention, but if ignored, they don't last long:-)

No need to guess
Let's see, he's done it 1000 times, and he's gotten the same kind of response 1000 times in a row. He's a lot of things including a blowhard, a know-it-all with no respect for any differing opinions, a paranoid conspiracy nut, and a condescending prick. But I don't think anyone believes he's so utterly stupid that he doesn't know that he's going to disrupt the board with his inane political babble and his innocent OT's that always have the same slant. So the intent is there. It's even planned ahead of time. Think it's a coincidence that the gang of misfit toys (aka Merry, bestcal, and Pamela) can be away from the board for weeks, even months, and then instantly and miraculously show up as soon as he posts? Not.

Louise - please. The grammar hurts my eyes
***the fact that GREAT MINDS DOES NOT THINK ALIKE!***
Honey, here is the correct way to say it...."great minds think alike". And for the antithesis? "great minds DON'T think alike".
It's these little details (or lack thereof) that have earned you your own special reputation. Notaries care about details, especially on a forum. You blow it each and every time, with consistency.
Still, your fierce determination earns a few points. Turn it around and who knows...you might actually contribute something of value here.

I think she also deserves points for being able to laugh a little. The other toys have about as much a sense of humor as Lurch from The Addams Family.

Agree Al. Methinks she's coming around a little. But...just a little, as in miniscule. Yet, any improvement is good.
Being able to laugh about this stuff? Priceless.

Louise definitely has a sense of humor. I don't think Louise gives a rat's tail what anyone thinks. She's definitely not one of those osten... OJs...
After watching her posts over the last year, I think Louise is just here for comic relief. Can't blame her a bit for that.

Oversimplified and clueless interpretation...
Actually, he's always had the power to open mail but with a warrant. With this statement added to the law, he gets around the warrant and is not required to ask a judge for one. You people know nothing of constitutional law, nor how the constitution works. You are taking this glib point of view because Tony Snow or someone at Fux News told you it was nothing new. Well, if it's nothing new, then why was this signing statement necessary?

"You people."
Oh for Pete's sake.
That really and truly says it all. 'Nuff said, for me.
Con law? LOL...I love to listen to true con law scholars. "Fux News?" (Another post.) LOL How adolescent is that?
I know some of you are fans of Ann Coulter, but I differ. I find her obnoxious. She's got a quick temper. She's a smart gal, but she needs to humble herself a little to realize there's a whole world left for her to learn.
In fact, I think she acts an awful lot like Jahari. If Ann ain't saying it, she can't hear it. No different here. Jahari vs. Ann. What a funny idea. Call it: the day the left met the right and no one could tell the difference. IMHO only.
