OT:Who Do You Call or Email?

I received one of those emails yesterday. You know the type. Someone in Africa has all this money sitting around with your name on it and all you have to do is..yada yada. I didn't even read the body of the email. My question is this: Is there some authority (FBI, Homeland Security or something) that I can contact and forward the email to? Seems as if someone in law enforcement would want to know about this sort of thing.

Good luck... i tried to turn someone in both from a scam

like that and also some guy out of nowhere IMd me and sent a pic of him nude. I told him I was 13 while I called the fbi... the fbi told me they do not investigate stuff like this period. I said the news is always quoting the fbi saying call blah blah blah....and they said yes but....

I filed an IC3 Complaint on the FBI's website

I told them I didn't expect a phone call or reply. Just wanted them to be aware of the scam. I was wrong when I said it was from Africa. This email was supposedly from the United Arab Emirates. Still haven't read the entire thing. What gets me is that there are still people here in the US that do respond to these scams and get ripped off. That really boggles my mind. I am so skeptical about these things that I wouldn't respond even if my mother emailed me requesting my personal information. She'd have to request it from me in person or over the phone. Did you see the special on 60 minutes or Nightline about 2 weeks ago? This man who appeared to me bright and business savy fell for a different scam and lost tens of thousands of dollars!

Normally the first such letter does not contain enough info
to warrant prosecution.
