Mine doesn't even carry legal size

I was shocked last year when I stopped by the two office supply stores in town, Office Max and Staples, and neither of them carry legal size paper any more. I can still buy it at the Wal-Mart in Algood, but the one in Cookeville doesn't have it either. I suspect the Algood store still stocks it because I buy several reams at a time there. I should order several cases the next time I get a good deal or a high-discount coupon to order online, but it has been handy to jump over to the Algood Wal-Mart and pick it up when I get an unexpected rush of closings and run low quicker than anticipated. We don't have a Costco here. There is a Sam's Club, but I hate to buy a Sam's Club membership just to be able to buy paper, and I'm not sure they would carry legal size anyway.

Re: Mine doesn't even carry legal size

Our Staples here carries legal, however it's so darn heavy that I ususally order two cases at a time and just have it delivered. Have you checked Staples on line for that option?

Thanks for the suggestions

I will be ordering online most of the time now, but I have appreciated the convenience of being able to run into a local store if I happen to run low unexpectedly. There is nothing like discovering that you're down to your last ream of legal size paper and having 3 closings back to back to back with insufficient time for delivery service. I know, I know, I need to be more diligent about keeping my stock up, but I sorta got used to being able to run into a local store and grab some if I needed to at the last minute. The Wal-Mart in Algood is my only local source, and if they stop carrying it....

I used to do the same exact thing and THEN

I rushed over to the local Wal-mart, running low...identical situation as you describe and nearly passed out when I saw they raised the price to nearly $6/ream. That broke me of that habit quick! I checked with Sam's Club over in Chattanooga and they don't carry legal...us rural folks are learning all about the trade off's for living in the country eh?

Legal copy paper at Quill (Item # 901-X814-20) was on sale at $56.90 per case. At Staples (item 126987 or 581760), $45.99. Comparison shopping is key.

I'm not sure where the good price is at Quill, most of the paper is over $50 a carton, the lgl. that is.

Re: As long as you're online anyway, please check out

You're probably right. But they do have terrific sales thru their quarterly 'sale catalogs'. Just got a case of legal for $29.90 & letter for $19.90. Free shipping & got it in 2 days. This is their own Quill brand, 20#, 94 bright. Of course, you do have to be a customer to be on the 'sale catalog' mailing list. Shipping is free with any order over $45. Sounds like I work for 'em--no, just been dealing with 'em for over 20 years and have never had a complaint.
