Service Link....how does everyone else handle them?
Is everyone working for Service Link?? They say they only pay $90.00 and then they want fax backs and you have to copy and split the documents. I am thinking of telling them to forget it for future signings.

I used to do a lot for Service Stink at the EOM and I never did a $90 CW/FS. I guess they found some desperate newbie in my area because I've not heard from them in about a year. My point...if you are not happy with the pay to work ratio, just say no or increase your fee. Who needs late pkgs, last minute deals, fax backs & split pkgs for $90? Not me, that's for darn sure.

Amen!
After the 3rd cancellation in about one month, I shared my concern with the SS contact and was told that "it was the nature of the business". After that, I stipulated that I needed docs within a certain timeframe or else I wouldn't accept the appointment. I'm doing less business for this company but my stress level is down and I haven't had another cancellation.

They quite calling me a long time ago when I stopped doing their CW/FS loans for $125. They were actually paying that much back then.
On Friday night I got a call from a desparate CW loan officer...notary canceled and can I help around 10pm. Well the price was right. Who's the Title Co.? Yup S/L. No wonder the notary canceled. He/she found a better paying assignment for sure. I turned down so much business in my area that night due to time / driving/ scheduling, that their loan was bumped to 10pm (right place/right time) and it just happened to work out for me.
Now, CW instructed SL to put my name on the HUD for my fee, and pay me out of funding. I sent my invoice and a copy of that email back to SL with the docs, and made sure that the LO forwarded same email instructions to the SL closer on the file. We shall see if I end up with MY FEE out of funding, vs the "SL agreed to fee" that was mysteriously listed on SL's 4 pages of notary instructions. I tried to get SL to send me the correct fee confirmation, but "the scheduling department was closed for the night". I was told NOT to bill SL through "normal" monthly billing process.
I'll keep you posted on how this arrangement turns out. Anyone else in a similar situation in the past, and how did it work out for you?
