Signing up with Signing Services

I have been a Notary Signing Agent for going on 6 years in March of this year. I have never
had such a slow period in all my years. I only had 6 signings in December and 2 so far this month with my 3rd scheduled on Monday. I am trying to sign up with an agency and they say " Must have completed 60+ successful closings within the last 3 months. I have had months where I had 60 signings in 1 month. This is a signing service, but the title companies are not asking for this. What gives?

This January was very slow for me also. Six total! I turned down 5 for the 26th. How many 6 PM closings can one do? I said if you can make it later (or earlier) I can do it. They just call someone else. Easier than trying to contact the borrower, change the time, and call me back. Lots of Notaries here in Denver now. I have some good friends that work for Title Companies here. One Company had over 500 in December, only 200 in January. Maybe slow all over?

'Tis t he season to be slow, and from the looks of it, slow all over.. unless you're a foreclosure company.

Yeah, my foreclosure inspections have picked up while my signings are down.
