Tax Software Suggestion
I think TurboTax Home and Business (bought at Staples) was a good buy. It cost $89 and included one free state tax return. It also has an option to buy Quicken basic and receive a full rebate for the cost (up to $30). If you use Quicken for next year, you can upload the information into TurboTax next year.
Here are the couple glitches I encountered. After entering my supply costs under Cost of Goods, I realized I should have put them under Business Expenses and was unable to get back into Business Expenses because it kept giving me an advertisement for a business expense tracker. Somehow I got back in by connecting to the internet for help on the topic (I have dial-up).
Also, I downloaded the updates and state forms for the state I picked before beginning. When it came to the state tax return part (after Federal), it allowed me to again pick my state from a list to be downloaded. I picked it and pressed continue; it told me I had already downloaded those state forms but did not prompt to locate them, so I had to redownload (is that a word?) the state.
One more thing, if you have dial up, I suggest finding your nearest unsecured wireless network for a quicker download of the updates if possible (guess you would need a laptop, that's what I did).

TurboTax - discounts are out there =)
Look around for discounted prices - both of my credit unions and my Visa (Worldperks/US Bank) gave discounts. For all three of those (so I'd assume it's a pattern?), if you go FROM their site TO TurboTax, the discount is applied.
