We can do more than docs

I am getting more & more calls for other types of work besides just mortgage closings.
With all of the foreclosures nationwide, I have been signing up with companies to do "quick" inspects & postings of foreclosed properties. Quick easy work, and pretty good pay.
For those in saturated area of mobile agents, maybe something to look into.

It always makes me smile when I read about another signing agent discovering that being a notary opens the door for other opportunities.

What does posting of foreclosed properties entail?

I did a search at yahoo for "Foreclosure work" and got several companies to sign up with.
A "posting" is nothing more than taping the foreclosure paper on the front door stating the property has been foreclosed upon.
Good luck to everybody!
If you wanna earn extra income, the internet is a GREAT place to start! Smile

Search turned up nothing for me

I am now at page 8 of the Yahoo listings under "foreclosure work" and have found absolutely no companies to sign up with for the work you described. I also searched under "foreclosure+post notice" and "foreclosure+posting notice". And I searched Google as well. I must be missing something here. Frown

The NNA is promoting this now, too!

Look at their upcoming conference for seminars on inspection work, etc. That market is next to become saturated -- watch out! (only my opinion, of course)

Oh, Crud - if the NNA is involved...

you're right - they'll be selling this as the next "Get Rich Quick with No Effort, Just Pay Us Money to Teach You and More Money Every Year to List With Us and More Money for Your Supplies" scheme.

Re: The NNA is promoting this now, too! Disgusting!

While I'm not an authority on this, I have looked into some of this and it really doesn't pay very well at all. Nor do these forms require notarization. So one must ask why that organization even has its nose in this? Next thing you know, they'll be selling membership to the 'inspection' section; then they'll have certification; oh, & eventually another CBC... & no, it's a special CBC; the one you did for the NSA

Disgusting! Sorry, fumble fingers-but you get the idea

Anyone can do this and it certainly doesn't need NNA involvement.

Re: Disgusting! Sorry, fumble fingers-but you get the idea

I do 1-2 of these per month. (photgraphic inspections)
They pay $15-30 per assignment.
Better paying inspections require more experience and education, and
I am happy doing signings instead. If I were looking to get more involved
with this field, the last company I would depend on would be the XXX.
I foresee this being their "new" way to satisfy the NSA grads who can't make it
financially because the NSA market is so saturated!
I predict that in another 3 years, the inspection market will be over-saturated
thanks to the XXX.

Re: The XYZ is promoting this now, too!

The next "certification" you will see from XYZ will be "Foreclosure Speacialist" and "Field Service Inspector." WTH does this have to do with being a Notary? NOTHING! What DOES this have to do with the XYZ...CASH FLOW.

***BOLO*** for XYZ getting into any business that they can hawk to increase their profit margin. If you fell for it once, don't fall for it again.

What is that saying...Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I had more luck when I searched under Foreclosure Consultant

I used Yahoo search, Google, etc. Below is some info specific to CA, but is likely good info for anyone who wants to know more about what you can and cannot do as a Foreclosure Consultant. As always, check your own state laws.....

Good Luck!
