extra acknowledgement
Just curious what you would do..... I received a call from Title Company. They said that although I did a proper acknowledgement for a DOT (on the page that the BO's signed), they also need an "All Purpose Acknowledgement" stamped/signed. They said that the recording was rejected. Original signing took place in Sept. 2006.

You know that answer Renee.. Don't doubt yourself just
tell them you can't do that. They won't ask why they already know...

Why was the recording rejected? Sounds like there was something wrong with the way the document was written. Don't you wonder how many notaries just send it to them?

Yes, especially since I told them I couldn't do that and they said that everyone else has. Hmmmmmm

Just tell them that excuse won't get you out of a speeding ticket, and it won't work on you either.

Being nosy - I would check the county recorder's office to see if the DOT had recorded.

One more thing to consider Renee just to satisfy yourself. If there was a problem with the acknowledgement on the document itself, ask them to fax it to you. In the event that I have had to replace a notarization I have done in the past I have asked for a copy of the document that was rejected for my records. If everything is on the level they should have NO problem accommodating you on such a simple request.
