help with HP1320TN memory

I am looking to purchase additional memory for my HP 1320TN. I wanted to know what you guys thought about the compatible memory vs HP memory? I also needed to know if it is necessary to buy the anti-static wristband or bag in order to install? TIA

I bought memory for my 1320 at http://www.4allmemory.com/. It was far cheaper than HP and it seems to work fine.
I think the computer gurus will all tell you to use a anti static wrist band any time you work on a computer, etc. I don't usually use one, but I do ground myself by touching a the metal frame work before touching any of the actual components. Also, you want to handle the memory by the plastic/epoxy backing only, don't touch the metal parts. Hope this helps.

I agree completely with John

I bought from the same place and I've added memory to several computers as well.
Never wear a strap but ALWAYS ground myself to the metal case and only touch the plastic part.
I've never had a problem.

Re: I agree completely with John

I did the same as John with no problems on my HP 1320TN.

Thanks Andy

I did check it out as I need memory for my 2nd 1320 printer. It was less than 1/2 what I paid at 4 All Memory. My friend did return and hooked up the "BEAST" - the 4100. It is awesome. At 29 pages per minute, it only takes less than 5 minutes to print out a loan package!!! I also have hooked up my 1320tn - a dual tray, a good printer, but not awesome. Anyway, I sent one set of docs to the 1320 and when it has completed spooling, I then send another copy to the 4100. The 4100 is still finished before the 1320, but by the time, I've taken it off the printer and put it in the folder, usually the 1320 is done, I grab them and out the door I go. Can't believe how much time I wasted waiting on my 4+ to do the job (I can't complain, the price was right being a left over loaner from my husband's business). Anyway, thanks for all your help and for selling me the 4100 at a price I couldn't afford to not take. I'm in the process of setting up my mobile office so my 1320 - single tray will be installed in the car (a lot easier to take in and out than the "beast" - 25 lbs vs 65 lbs!

Re: Thanks Andy

You're welcome & thank you Dorothy, I have 3 of them on network here so there's no such thing as cut off time for e-docs to my clients. I'll send you my quick cost analysis on the printer and where to get toner sometimes later.
