In case you haven't heard, American Home Mortgage is about to bite the big one:

They are lheadquarterd here on Long Island, NY - I have friends who work there and some got caught up in a recent round of layoffs, and that was before things really got nasty. AHM is the 6th largest company on LI, and one of the major residential mortgage companies nationally. Stock was trading at $1.04 at close of market today... ouch.

Just got a call from an attorney I work for. He said that there is a big mess because AHM went out of business and customers are not getting their money from their loan. This is going to get dirty guys and dolls.
