Same thing happened to me last week, I was driving, and busy, I said send me a confirmation. However unlike you I did not do a search, just took the job. We shall see if I get paid. They are a title company, so if they don't pay one can go to the Insurance commission in PA and file a complaint. Not worth the effort. Easier just to say no.

I had to chase payment but FINALLY got paid - two months after the closing. I contacted John Franztos who is listed as the President. I had sent him a certified letter and received no answer. Went on line to the PA Secretary of State Dept. of corps and found a form that I could file a complaint on. The last time I contacted Land Options I was put into Mr. Franztos' voice mail and told him I was going to file a formal complaint with the State of PA if I didn't get paid. He actually called me back - and with the same old excuse - I lost my accounting person and am trying to get everything out. Please e-mail your invoices again and I will see to it that you are paid. I did that and then I followed up with an e-mail requesting acknowledgement that he received them (I did this so that if I had to file a complaint I would have an actual acknowledgement from HIM to present to the State). Well, he did respond and said yes he received them and then told me the check would be sent out on Friday. By the next Wednesday I still had not received my check and called him and he said there had a been a problem but the check was actually mailed the day before (on Tuesday), received thecheck on Friday, deposited it, but made a copy of it just in case it bounced - and then I would have that to add to my complaint. It cleared.
